The City squad slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Grantham Town on Saturday in the latest pre-season friendly fixture.

Trialist Luke Foster once again featured in defence and goalkeeper Matt Armstrong-Ford was also given a second half run out at the South Kesteven Sports Centre with Alan Power's late penalty proving to be just a consolation effort.

Manager Gary Simpson was once again unable to call upon the services of Todd Jordan, Nat Brown and Tom Miller who were once again absent through injury.

City: Farman (Matt Armstrong-Ford 65), Sheridan, Newton, Fofana (Boyce h/t), Foster, Power, Nolan, Fairhurst (Robinson 60), Rowe (Thomas 70), Dixon, Wright (Yussuf h/t).

The U18s, meanwhile, won 5-1 at Ruston Sports with the goals coming from Kegan Everington (2), Alex Simmons, Jordan Harper and Cenk Acar.
