The cream of Lincoln's junior football stars milked their success last weekend as they unveiled a new shirt sponsorship deal with Cool Milk, the UK's leading provider of free school milk in schools.

Lincoln City FC U9s donned their new strip as they ran out onto the hallowed turf of Gelder Group Sincil Bank Stadium for a photo shoot before their game against regional rivals Grimsby Town FC U9s.

"Our new shirts look awesome and it's all thanks to Cool Milk," said nine-year-old Ewan Dobson who plays for City's U9s:

John Sedgwick, Managing Director, Cool Milk, said: "Cool Milk is committed to helping give young people a great start in life. That means a healthy diet and keeping fit. Our sponsorship of the Imps' U9s team is a great fit for Cool Milk and Lincoln City FC.

"The Cool Milk brand will appear at football pitches around the county, helping to raise awareness of milk as part of healthy, balanced diet. Plus we want to give the club the support it deserves to help it develop and what better way than to support it at its grassroots."

Damian Froggatt, the Club's Head of Youth, added: "It's great that our youngest team is receiving the support of such a well known local business. Sponsorship plays a massive part in helping clubs like ours compete, so Cool Milk's support is a real bonus for our U9s team.

"Plus it also sends out the right message about healthy, balanced diets. I know the boys love their milk before, during and after the match, giving them the energy and hydration to perform at the top of their game!"
