Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a professional footballer? Even just for one day? Well now you have the chance to find out!
Lincoln City Youth Academy’s latest Future Imps Fund initiative is ’Pro4Ninety’ and only seven places are still available in a match to be played at Sincil Bank Stadium.
Pro4Ninety will see two 'Lincoln City' teams tasting life as a pro when they meet at Sincil Bank in a 1.00pm kick-off on Saturday 9 May 2015.
The home team will be managed by two Imps’ Legends - Steve Thompson and Colin Murphy - and the away team by two heroes of Graham Taylor's 1975/76 record breaking team City side - John Ward and Dennis Booth.
Both teams will feature two former City players in their squads: striker Simon Yeo and defender Dean Walling will play for the home team with forward Darren Huckerby and defender Lee Beevers lining up for the away team. Refereeing the match will be former Premier League official Uriah Rennie.
Places in the matchday playing squad cost £149 for 90 minutes or £99 for 45. To be part of what is certain to be a hugely popular occasion you need to log on to Lincoln City Youth Academy's eBay site (www.ebay.co.uk/usr/futureimpsfund
) where five 90 minute and two 45 minute playing time places in the Away team are listed for purchase.
As well as experiencing life as a footballer the benefits package includes:
• 90 or 45 minutes playing time alongside former City legends in a team managed by a former City management team
• A match shirt with your name and squad number on it to keep
• A complimentary copy of the pre-match team photo
• Post-match food and presentations with the players and City legends
• Your name on the team-sheet
• £25 discount on price of an executive box for the match (full price £100)
A report of the match will appear in the Lincolnshire Echo and on the Academy and Lincoln City websites. A DVD with commentary will be available to purchase after the game.
To play in the Pro4Ninety match you must be aged 18 years or over.
