Sean Newton has today joined League One Notts County on loan until the end of the season with Jordan Cranston moving to Sincil Bank from the Magpies.

Whilst Newton, whose contract at Sincil Bank comes to an end in May, has moved on to Meadow Lane with the Club benefitting financially from the deal, former Wolves left-back Cranston has joined the Imps on loan and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's home game against Chester FC.

Cranston already has experience at Conference level having played for Nuneaton Town on a non-contract basis in August after his release by Wolves. He also had a loan spell with Nuneaton at the end of last season.

The former Wales U19 international has made 12 appearances for Notts County this season and his loan will run until the end of the current campaign. He has been handed the vacant number 7 squad shirt.
