Striker John Marsden has joined the Club on loan from Southport until the end of the season.
Marsden (22) played youth team football for Wrexham and Wigan Athletic and was a prolific scorer for Liverpool Schoolboys at under-14 and under-15 levels before joining Celtic at the age of 16.
Whilst at Celtic he suffered a broken foot in a freak accident at school which curtailed his ambitions of first team football with the Scottish giants, having progressed through to their reserve team.
He was subsequently released and after a spell with Rochdale he joined Welsh Premier League side Aberystwyth Town and then found the net on a regular basis for Stockport Sports. A move to Shrewsbury Town via Stoke City's U21s followed before he joined Southport last summer.
He has been handed the vacant number 10 squad shirt and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's visit of Chester FC to Sincil Bank Stadium.
