The sixth annual Keith Alexander Memorial Tournament, sponsored by Dixon Street Carpet Centre, takes place this Saturday and Sunday at Ruston Sports & Social Club in Lincoln.Hosted by Lincoln City's Youth Academy, this prestigious event will feature around 70 teams from academies such as Hull City, Peterborough United and Scunthorpe United, and this year's event will be the biggest in its history with teams from Under 11 through to Under 16 taking part.
Confirming their sponsorship of the 2016 tournament, Mick Burke, owner of Dixon Street Carpet Centre, commented, "We are delighted to support such a major event in the Lincoln City calendar. It's a celebration of youth football and a fitting tribute to a man who made such a mark on this football club."

Academy Manager, Damian Froggatt, added, "We're looking forward to another fantastic tournament of youth football and we're delighted that so many top class Football League clubs continue to support this event. And we're pleased to announce a tournament sponsor for the first time - it's support from local businesses such as Dixon Street Carpet Centre which helps sustain the future of our own youth programme.
"We'd also like to thank the staff at Ruston Sports & Social Club as well as our other sponsors and all the staff and volunteers who work extremely hard to put the tournament together," he added.
Admission is free and the football begins at 10.00am on both days. Saturday will feature U11s, U13s and U15s, while the U12, U14 and U16 competitions take place on Sunday.
