Following the completion of the second round of fixtures in the group stages of the Checkatrade Trophy, the shortlist for the Player of the Round competition has been revealed with Jordan Maguire-Drew making the final five.*

You can vote for the Lincoln forward EFL.com/playeroftheround and if he takes home the trophy, you could have the honour of presenting the award and winning tickets to the Checkatrade Trophy final.

Just a month past his 20th birthday, the youngster on loan from Brighton scored both goals as Lincoln beat Everton 2-1, the second a sumptuous free-kick over the wall. Playing on the right wing, he cut inside at will and caused problems for the Toffee’s backline all night.

This week’s conclusion of the second round of fixtures saw a number of standout performances, including the second consecutive 4-3 thriller involving AFC Wimbledon, this time beating Tottenham Hotspur U21s. Portsmouth, Shrewsbury Town and Wigan Athletic also impressed with comprehensive home wins.

The Checkatrade Trophy Player of the Round shortlist for the second group stage matches is as follows:

•Matt Clarke (Portsmouth)

•Tom Hopper (Scunthorpe United)

•Jordan Maguire-Drew (Lincoln City)

•Toby Sibbick (AFC Wimbledon)

•Reece Brown (Forest Green Rovers)

The Checkatrade Trophy Player of the Round competition gives fans the opportunity to vote for the player they feel shined in the first round of fixtures.
