We are delighted to announce that Danny and Nicky Cowley have extended their contracts at Lincoln City until 2022.

Their original deal was due to expire in the summer of 2021, but following discussions the managerial duo have put pen to paper for a further year.

Negotiations have been on-going for some time with the Imps’ management duo with the main focus of the talks revolving around the potential future growth of the club as well as the plan for the off field developments and of course the new Elite Performance Centre in which the Cowley brothers have been heavily involved.

Danny and Nicky arrived at Sincil Bank in the summer of 2016, and guided the Imps to a historic FA Cup quarter-final, an FA Trophy semi-final, before securing the National League title and the Imps' return to the EFL.

Upon return to the EFL, the duo guided the Imps to the club's first ever trip to Wembley Stadium in the Checkatrade Trophy, which ended up in 1-0 victory over League One promotion hopefuls Shrewsbury Town.

The Imps are also on the verge of the Sky Bet League Two play-offs in the Cowleys' second season in charge, and City's first since returning to the EFL.

We will be live on Facebook and Twitter with the managerial duo from 5.30pm.
