Always Room For Improvement

13 August 2018

After the team picked up plaudits for their performance in the won over Swindon Town at Sincil Bank last weekend, Bruno Andrade said that there’s still more to come from The Imps.

“Theres always room for improvement in every game. I think for the first half hour of the game, we started well. I think we can still kick it up a gear or two.”

Andrade made his competitive home debut for the club against The Robins, and was taken aback at the atmosphere within Sincil Bank and he’s keen for more of the same as the team look to continue to grow as a group.

“I was a bit star stuck. That’s the best atmosphere I’ve played in so far in my career. The fans were loud from the 1st minute to the 90th minute. We are still getting used to each other as it’s a fairly new team. I think from Saturday, that’s only a glimpse from what you can see from us.”

The 24 year-old Portuguese attacking midfielder is anticipating a tough task at Vale Park on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup, and admits that the prospect of facing some of the best players in the country is a tremendous driving force for any player as everyone wants to test their abilities against the biggest teams possible.

“If we win this game, you never know who you could have. Like in pre season it was nice to play against Championship teams like Wednesday and Blackburn. Every athlete wants to see how high they can play.”

Tickets are still available to purchase ahead of the Port Vale game from the Lincoln City Ticket Office, or available at the away ticket office at Vale Park ahead of kick off tomorrow evening.
