Club Charity Partners 2019

17 December 2018

Sponsored by

The Club would once again like to offer supporters the opportunity to nominate local charities who will have a chance of becoming Lincoln City named charity partners in 2019.

The Club currently have the Lincoln City Foundation and Mind UK (EFL nominated charity partner) as charity partners. We'd also like to extend our thank you to St Barnabas Hospice and Lincs2Nepal who have been the nominated charity partners as chosen by the fans over the last 12 months.

For 2019 two new local charities will be voted for by the supporters to replace St Barnabas Hospice and Lincs2Nepal.

So far we have had nominations from; YMCA Lincolnshire, Age UK, Foxdale Assisted Learning, Linkage Community Trust, Headway Lincolnshire, Sophie's Cancer Trust, Ignite Church Lincoln, LIVES, Band of Builders and Bomber Command Memorial.

Throughout the season, the club will be committed towards helping the adopted charities to assist with fundraising activities and events which are aimed to raise their profile in support of obtaining for further local support. Examples of how Lincoln City plan to support include, but are not exclusive to, match day bucket collections, player appearances and special fundraising events.

Lincoln City FC would welcome nominations for charities who are based, or conduct the majority of their work, within Lincoln up to a 10-mile radius of Sincil Bank.

Due to the high volume of ongoing requests, the club unfortunately cannot support all local charities, however we will continue to support other charities via a monthly prize draw.

To nominate a local charity please email charity@lincolncityfc.co.uk with the name of your nominated charity with the full process outlined below.

Process:

  • Stage 1- Fans to nominate local charities by 28th December at 12:00pm.
  • Stage 2- Charities that receive a nomination will then be put to a formal fan vote between 2nd January and the 16th January. Please note that this fan vote will include polls on social media. Supporters will also have the opportunity to vote at the ticket office and club shop by popping a slip in the charity box during these dates.
  • Stage 3 - The two charities with the highest total number of votes will be adopted as the local charity partners for 2019.
