John Reames Memorial Trophy

The annual Memorial Trophy in the name of John Reames will be held on Sunday.

18 July 2018

This Sunday's pre-season friendly former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers, will be competed for the John Reames Memorial Trophy.

Reames held the position of Chairman at Lincoln City between 1985 and 2000, the longest reigning Chairman in the club's history.

He oversaw the GMVC title-winning season in 1988, and was also vital in raising funds during the 90s.

Reames also spent a period of time as manager in 1998, until the end of the 99/00 season.

John sadly passed away in May 2008 after a battle with cancer, but will always be remembered by everyone connected with Lincoln City Football Club for his passion and commitment during his time with the club.

We are delighted to be able to remember John during this Sunday's fixture versus a Sky Bet Championship side.

Tickets are still on sale for the fixture HERE.
