Elite Performance Centre Progressing Well

5 July 2018

Work on the new Lincoln City Elite Performance Centre continues to gather pace, with building work now progressing above ground and the pitches getting more lush as each day passes.

Since planning permission was granted in June, Head of Stadium and Operations, Darren Curtis and Head Groundsman Jim Davison from the football club alongside Project Consulatant, Andrew Ward have been working hard alongside Njord Design and Build and Talbot Sports Turf on the £1.3m project at Heath Lane near RAF Scampton.

The three pitches on the land are being worked upon and now, pitch one has been turfed and is being readied for the return of the first team from their training camp away from the club.  While the other two pitches are now showing signs of growth and progressing well.

The new service track has been laid to help giving easier access to the site and in the latest developments, the new dressing room building is having the steel frame installation and brickwork completed later this week, then next week the focus turns to the beam and block floor installation inside the footprint of the building.

“We are really pleased with the progress that is being made which is a credit to everyone that has been involved with the project to date.” Darren Curtis said.

“There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to get to this stage and we are now in the position of seeing the site transform day by day into an Elite Performance Centre that we can all be proud of.”
