Defender Departs Sincil Bank

26 June 2018

Sean Long has left the club to move to Cheltenham Town, the Irishman leaves The Imps after making a total of 42 appearances for the club.

The defender moved to the club initially on loan from Reading in January 2017 and played his part in the run to the National League Championship where he featured 16 times before joining the club permanently last summer.

Long pulled on the shirt of the Imps a further 26 times in The Imps first season back in the Football League, including appearances in the season opener at Wycombe Wanderers as well as playing his part in the run to Wembley which culminated in the historic Checkatrade Trophy final win against Shrewsbury Town.

We would like to express our thanks to Sean for his effort and endeavour during his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.
