This weekend the Imps take on Yeovil Town as they aim to secure a spot in the end of season playoffs.

With a sell out crowd at Sincil Bank knowing that only a point will extend the season into the SkyBet League Two playoffs, it promises to be a match played out in an electric atmosphere.

Yeovil Town come to Lincolnshire looking to finish their season on a high and we take a look at this weekend's opponents and their record against The Imps.

Recent form

Yeovil have achieved only two wins in the last fourteen games in all competitions.

Yeovil have the worst defensive record on the road in the division this season, conceding 48 goals (average 2.09 goals per away game).

After recently confirming their place in the EFL next season, The Glovers will  begin their fourth consecutive season in League Two in 2018/19

Manager’s comments

The Imps may had won 2-0 at Huish Park in December but Yeovil Town manager Darren Way hopes his players can seek some revenge to halt Lincoln City’s promotion charge.

“They’re very direct, some of the tackles will be very, very forceful but we’ve got to stand up to that and if we don’t it will be a very, very tough task.

“I’ve prepared the players and my staff extremely well, the players know what they’re coming up against and we have to make sure we rise to that challenge for the supporters more than anything.

“Other teams are looking at our results but I can guarantee to other football clubs and managers that I’ve prepared my team more for this game than any other game.”

Previous meetings

The Imps won in the reverse fixture this season 2-0, goals from Matt Rhead and Matt Green.

The two clubs have met only five times in history. Yeovil have three wins to Lincoln’s two.

The meeting at Huish Park was the first meeting between the clubs since May 2005.

One to Watch - Francois Zoko

Francois Zoko from the Ivory Coast, has 13 league goals to his name, making him Yeovil’s top goalscorer this season.

The 34-year old arrived at The Glovers in November 2015 on a free transfer from Blackpool. The Ivorian has also had previous spells at Bradford, Stevenage, Notts County and Carlisle.
