After a full investigation by officials from Bury, Lincoln City and Greater Manchester Police and Lincolnshire Police, regarding the post-match incidents which took place after the conclusion of the recent 3-3 draw at The Energy Check Stadium, Gigg Lane, Bury, The Shakers have today released the following statement from their Chief Executive, Karl Evans.

"It was with great sadness that I viewed the CCTV footage of the behaviour of a small group of our so-called supporters entering the exit gates for the area allocated to Lincoln City supporters after our recent game.

“We had no intelligence either internally or from Greater Manchester Police and their counterparts that any such behaviour was likely to occur based on any current or historic information.

“Greater Manchester Police are now in possession of the footage and will take all the necessary actions that will be fully supported by the Club. I can only apologise for any upset caused to the supporters of Lincoln City attending on the day and wish you all the very best for the rest of the season.”
