Danny Cowley praised his side's "never-say-die" attitude as John Akinde's 96th minute equaliser extended the Imps' unbeaten league run to 11 games.
City fell behind in the first half to a Matt Jay free-kick, but Akinde levelled the scores deep into stoppage time with a left-footed effort which powered past Christy Pym at his near post.
The last-gasp equaliser ensure that the Imps' last league defeat came on Boxing Day, and have only lost once at home in the league all season.
Danny Cowley hailed the determination of his side following the 96th minute leveller.
"I am proud of the efforts of the players for their never-say-die attitude," he said.
"You can criticise us tactically and technically but never criticize our characters. We have got characters and we fight until the end."
The Imps had initially fallen behind after 22 minutes, as Matt Jay's free-kick curled into the far corner, and Danny admitted his side didn't make the start they would have liked.
"In the first 10 minutes we had good control, we then made a series of errors which gave them momentum," Danny said.
"We didn’t manage the game well enough in that period and as a result we conceded the goal. We will now go away and look at it and learn.
"We have got to find a way to get more rhythm into the way we play at home. I feel we have lost that welcome to Sincil Bank start we had in the first two years at the club and we need to get that back.
"At home, you are always trying to get games on your term and we wanted to do that in the first 15 minutes to earn the right to have possession but the game didn’t unfold like that."
City sit top of Sky Bet League Two by three points over second-placed Bury, and seven points clear of fourth, as Danny was quick to reiterate the achievement of sides campaign so far.
"As a group, we have been able to take Lincoln City to the top of League Two, it has taken a lot of effort and a lot of half work," he added.
"As a consequence of the success we have had, in the FA Cup, the National League and the Checkatrade Trophy we now have a real expectation which I enjoy.
"We are Lincoln City not Manchester City. At the moment, we are just a League Two team and we don’t have more of a right than any other League Two teams," Danny added.
"We don’t have greater finances or a style of play, we are just a group of determined hard working people and we know you have to fight hard to win games."
