In his second spell with the Imps, Lee Angol was part of the City side who won promotion to SkyBet League Two in 2017 winning the National League.
He came through the youth setup at Tottenham Hotspur before signing a professional deal with Wycombe Wanderers in 2012. After a number of loan spells away from the club and with three league appearances to his name for the Chairboys, Angol signed for Luton Town in 2014.
He spent the 2014/15 season on loan with Boreham Wood, scoring 25 league goals in 39 appearances.
The forward won the 2014/15 Conference South Golden Boot and was also awarded Boreham Wood Player and Young Player of the year. Peterborough signed Angol on a three-year deal in July 2015, the forward scored a brace on his Posh debut against Oldham Athletic.
Angol featured 11 times in the National League for the Imps during his first loan spell with the club in 2017. He had a brief spell with Mansfield Town before joining Shrewsbury in August 2018.
The 24-year-old returned to Sincil Bank on deadline day in 2019 on loan until the end of the season.
