Starting his career with hometown club, Potters Bar Town. The midfielder worked his way up the youth ranks from 2003 until 2009 before becoming a senior player. After impressing for the Scholars, Pett signed for Wealdstone in 2012 where he helped the club win the Ishmian Premier Division title.

The midfielder spent two years with Wealdstone making 100 league appearances, scoring a total of 26 league goals. Impressive form led to Pett making a move to the Football League with Stevenage expressing their interest. In June 2014, the deal became official with Pett signing a one-year deal which was later extended. 

The former England C international was ever present in Boro’s side during his four seasons with the club. After 141 league appearances with the club Pett signed for Danny Cowley’s Lincoln City side in January 2018.

He made his Lincoln City debut against Swinton Town coming on as a 61st minute substitute. His first goal for the club came against Yeovil Town on the final day of the season in a 1-1 draw which secured Lincoln a League Two Play-off place.
