Sam Slocombe arrived at Sincil Bank in August 2018 on a season long loan deal from Sky Bet League One side Bristol Rovers.
The 30-year-old had initially joined Rovers three months prior from Blackpool where he was on the winning side in the 2017 SkyBet League Two play-off final.
The goalkeeper started his career in the Northern Counties East Football League with Bottesford Town before turning professional in 2008 with Scunthorpe United, he went on to spend seven years with the club before leaving for Oxford United in the summer of 2015.
During his time at Glanford Park, Slocombe played in all three Football League divisions, winning promotions during the 2008/09 and 2013/14 seasons. The shot-stopper also won promotion with Oxford United during the 2015/16 season as The U’s finished second in the SkyBet League Two table.
