The Red Imps Nominate Macmillan Cancer Support

Lincoln City Football Club are proud to announce that Macmillan Cancer Support will be the Red Imps Official Charity for Season 2013/14.

Red Imps CEO Steve Prescott explains, "I recently enjoyed a very positive meeting with Emma Collins and Tanya Taylor of Macmillan Cancer Support, and received a very impressive presentation which demonstrated their creative ideas for working closely with us to raise awareness of what they do, and how they can help local people. As a result the Club's Board of Directors did not hesitate in backing my proposal to designate the Club's 2013/14 Charity of the Year status to Macmillan Cancer Support. Their magnificent work touches so many peoples lives during the most difficult of times, and it will be our privilege to work together with them over the next 12 months."

Macmillan We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cancer Support Fund Raising Manager, Tanya Taylor said "Lincoln City Football ClubCancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face a. nd the feelings of loneliness and isolation that so many people experience make it even harder. Now, more than ever, we need people to join our team and get involved. It’s absolutely vital that cancer services are in place in the area that can provide the information and support that is needed now and will be needed ever more in the future. In particular these services are needed in areas where there is a high incidence of cancer such as Lincoln. This partnership will help us to raise awareness of the needs of people affected by cancer, and much needed funds to support these services. No one should face cancer alone, and with the support of Lincoln City Football Club, and the local community no one will."
