A first half Sean Newton free-kick saw the Imps defeat League One side Scunthorpe United in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup Semi-Final on Wednesday evening.
Newton's 20th minute strike was enough to see off the Iron at Glanford Park and book their place in the final of the competition, which they won last season.
The progression came at a price, however, with Tom Miller hobbling off with a knee injury shortly before the half-time break.
