We are today temporarily closing the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre after members of the playing staff have recently been in contact with an individual who has only now displayed key symptoms which are linked to coronavirus.
This action is entirely precautionary and the players have now been given individual training schedules which they will follow during this period away from the club’s facilities.
This decision was made in the context of the EFL suspending football activity until the 3rd April, therefore training this week was deemed a non-critical group activity.
It must be stressed that no member of the playing and coaching staff or any other team member or official at Lincoln City Football Club has shown any symptoms whatsoever of contracting the virus at this point.
