Tom has said the whole side want a reaction tomorrow night as they look to pick up their eighth set of three points this season, the Imps striker also recognises the type of team Portsmouth are as they travel to LNER Stadium.

“They have a talented side with some good players.

“Portsmouth are strong and physical so it will be tough, but we are looking forward to it and want to give a big reaction.

“I worked hard over pre-season during the first lockdown, I want to continue to work hard as the games are coming thick and fast and Tuesday is no different.”

The 26-year-old continued by praising his teammates for their efforts so far this season with Lincoln scoring 14 goals in the league.

“We are lucky to play in a team that likes to create chances and we have scored goals throughout the team; it has been a real group effort.

“We have hard workers on the wings, they are full of energy but we also have lads who can create something from nothing so we will continue to get into the positions to create chances.”

In his ninth year as a pro, the Imps number nine is enjoying his role as a senior member of the squad.

Tom explained how he likes to look out for the younger players offering advice on the training pitch at the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre.

“I am a senior lad in the squad so if someone wants to come and chat with me about something that’s fine, but I also go to lads to speak to them if I think they would benefit from it.

“We are a good group and a team, so we like to look out and work for each other.”
