The Lincoln City family – including the club and Foundation - is jointly working together to help reduce their impact on the environment.
A newly established ‘Green Team’ will be exploring ways to ensure the club's actions are as sustainable as possible and with the least impact, especially on the surrounding community.
As part of this work, the club have recently joined the Lincoln Climate Commission (lincolnclimate.org.uk) to ensure it is working alongside other organisations in the area and sharing best practice, as well as looking into funding opportunities to help reduce carbon footprint.
Damian Froggatt, the club's director of operations, said: "While we've always had one eye on minimising our environmental impact, this now formalises our approach and means we have a team of people from across the club tasked with setting out an action plan and actively measuring our progress.
"For example, Hanna Storey, head of education and employability in the Foundation, is studying for a degree in ecology and our aim is to tap into this shared knowledge to find lots of small improvements which, collectively, can have a big impact.

Earth Hour takes place from 8.30-9.30pm on Saturday, with people encouraged to switch off your lights in support of nature and the planet.
