Renovation work has taken place on the LNER Stadium pitch this week as preparations continue for the 2022/23 season.
The top layer of grass was removed on Monday to take the pitch down to its fibresand base layer, before a reseeding process over Tuesday and Wednesday.
The grass will be allowed to regrow over the next couple of weeks with the pitch back in use for two home friendlies as part of City's pre-season schedule.
The routine annual maintenance by the club's partners Fineturf helps prolong the life of the pitch, which was completely rebuilt by the same company last summer.
